If you have never heard of Watendawil, well now you do. Though under a new name, they are not exactly a new group as they were formerly known as and a part of the trio, Kaskazini. This included the multi-talented instrumental genius and singer Chris Clave. Now moving forward as a duo consisting of Ywayaa Tajiri and Israel Onyach, Watendawili are back with a new single Cham Thum(Atoti).

This single is from the EP called Double Treble. Firstly, kudos to the name, love the wordplay I am already sold.

Cham Thum(Atoti)

Now let me tell you, their latest track “Cham Thum (Atoti)” is making waves for all the right reasons.

Starting with the music video, we’re treated to a visual feast of colours, well-designed sets, tasteful fashion and aesthetically pleasing extras. The camera work is slick, taking you on a journey that perfectly matches the vibe of the song. From cool city scapes to cozy hangouts, every setting adds its own flavour to the mix. And can we talk about their style? Watendawili’s fashion game is on point, adding that extra bit of swag to the whole affair.

But it’s not just about the visuals; the story they’re telling is what really grabs you. It’s all about love, longing, and finding yourself, and the video brings it to life in a way that hits you right in the feels. How about Watendawili’s performances? These guys bring serious energy to the table with moves are as smooth as butter.

Watendawili sing directly to your soul

Now, onto the music itself. “Cham Thum (Atoti)” is a banger, plain and simple. The production quality is top-notch, with every beat hitting just right. And the mastering? It’s like they’ve composed the art of keeping you hooked from start to finish.

My favourite feature which really sets this track apart is the emotion behind it. Watendawili pours their hearts into every note, leaving you feeling like you’ve been on a journey by the time it’s over. It’s more than just a song – it’s an experience. So, if you’re in the mood for some soulful vibes that’ll stick with you long after the music stops, do yourself a favour and hit play 5 minutes ago.
